What People are Saying about CPW
Why do I enjoy attending Christmas Performer Workshops? They are not a passive learning experience. Robert Seutter has his students actually putting what they are learning into action to help reinforce how the techniques and concepts fit into their portrayals. From writing a simple story, to getting up and dancing – IN CHARACTER – you learn, practice, and demonstrate what is being taught. CPW is the kind of learning that inspires me to apply the concepts that I have learned immediately and bring them forward, building upon them to enhance my performance. Thank you, Santa True and Cat Ellen, for your passion for education and creating stronger performers. – Myke Hutchings
The single BEST performing workshop I have been a part of!!! Five stars! – Al Jastrum
I have to admit that, since I have been performing off and on since I was 8-years-old, I was a bit skeptical about taking Santa True’s Christmas Performer’s Workshop. After all, what could a 2-day workshop teach me that 43 years of acting, singing and dancing could not? Apparently, the answer to that is PLENTY! Santa True’s classes are engaging, informative and entertaining. Being a new Santa, I learned much about the specific aspects of being a Professional Santa that may have taken me many years to discover on my own (if at all). I cannot wait until I can take another class with Santa True and take my skills to the next level. Well worth the time and expense! – Ed Hatz
Since I have started to incorporate Trueism’s into my character I’m making substantially more money and working less. – Jerry Nebel
Santa True, I just wanted to personally thank you for your commitment to bettering our Christmas Community. You inspire and challenge us all to not settle for mediocrity in our personifications. I have attended other Santa Schools in the past, but Christmas Performers Workshop goes far beyond the general knowledge of history, appearance, contracts, etc. The training received by attending CPW is enlightening, motivating, and ever-evolving. Unlike other schools, CPW is not the “same old shtick” year after year or even from one class to another. Thank you for encouraging me to continue learning, perfecting, and striving to improve our craft. – Mark Reed “Texarkana Santa”
Santa True simply ROCKS! You will certainly improve your performance with his teaching! – Santa Bob Jordan
This weekend, I had the chance to spend the weekend with Christmas Performer Workshops and Robert Seutter. My brain is on overload and my creativity tank is full. I have started writing my show for 2019 and I can’t wait for the season. If you have the chance to take Santa True’s course, DO IT! He spends time working with each individual student to help you get everything you can out of his workshop. Every single Santa in attendance left as a better performer and knows what he needs to work on to become even better. 5 stars! It’s good to call you friend, my friend. – Jason Coffel
The Santas from the Rocky Mountain region which includes the Pike’s Peak Santas have benefited so very much from this teaching experience. We also had two couples from our Utah IBRBS group and one from the Nor Pac group in Seatle come in for the Christmas Performers School. We are already planning to have Robert come back to Denver for his further training. If you get the chance, do not pass on this opportunity. – Thomas Carmody
So much information! It was neat not thinking about being a performer, but thinking of skills to make us better performers. – Walter Bizon
Had a marvelous time this weekend. I got to visit with Robert Seutter, learned new stories, got to make new friends, visit with other friends, picked up some awesome ideas that will go into workshops that I am doing (with permission, of course), learned stuff that will help me in my programs…totally and completely awesome weekend. One of the best PD workshops I have had. This was such an awesome workshop. Not only did I learn some really good information to help me create a Mrs. Claus character, but I also learned a lot of good information that will help me in my school programs, as a teacher, and as a trainer of teachers. Totally awesome event. – Melinda LaFevers
I, too, highly recommend Santa True and Christmas Performer Workshops. Brings performance up at least two notches. Everyone should at least take the basic course. – Bo Turner
Jumping Jingle Bells!!! I am one happy Mrs. Claus!!! If you want to have a magical two days of learning and honing your performing skills then you will love Santa True’s “CHRISTMAS PERFORMER WORKSHOPS”. Everyone was up and performing. Santa True seems to have an endless supply of brilliant new ways to enhance our performing and storytelling skills before the upcoming Christmas season. I discovered I could do things I didn’t even know I could do just a few days ago! Everyone in that room just lit up as they discovered new ways to bring the jolly. It was so much fun! I even got to take a picture with three of my favorite SUPER HEROS Santa True, Santa Ron Breach, and Santa Bob Osterhoudt. It has been my privilege to be their Mrs. Claus at some past events. I look forward to working with all of them and other Santas this coming season. On top of all that we were provided with a light breakfast, drinks, snacks and a wonderful luncheon on both days. There was a fun raffle that benefited a deserving non-profit so some folks went home with some delightful raffle prizes. For those that didn’t win the raffles…no worries! Everyone in the room was given the opportunity to take home all kinds of books. I highly recommend the “CHRISTMAS PERFORMER WORKSHOPS”. It is a unique experience designed for every skill level. Don’t miss it next time it comes around! – Maggie Nitz
Christmas Performers Workshops gets a 5-STAR rating from Minnesota Santas. Massive amounts of important material to bring your Santa personae to a new level!! Thank You, Robert, for sharing your time and talent in Minnesota this past weekend!
I just finished a Christmas Performer Workshop with Santa True. I learned so much in this class. I learned I was basically a “chair Santa”. I had the look but not the confidence to do much more than take photos and talk with kids. Wow…we learned so much. Some fun things to build our confidence. Helpful ways to have quicker responses to tough questions. We learned some rhymes and little ditties to amuse the children. We saw some amazing ways to deliver stories, if we were reading them or telling them. And until this class I didn’t know the difference. I have been inspired to “up my game” and become a better Santa. I want to be an asset to the Santa community rather than a liability. I even have enough confidence to now be know as Santa Mayor!!! I am starting a new journey, pray for me. And if you have the opportunity to attend a Santa True class you will not be disappointed! – Sincerely, Santa Mayor
This last weekend we were blessed to have attended an incredible Christmas Performer Workshop put on by Santa True. We are new to the professional Santa and Mrs Claus world but this workshop has opened up the possibilities that lie at our feet. We have now been to 2 previous Santa classes, but this is anything but a “Typical Santa” class. The other classes helped us to begin our journey but this workshop will hopefully catapult us to a whole different level in our mission to be an excellent Christmas performer. We had never considered the many nuances of what we do and what we can do or what responsibility we should assume in our roles, not only to the children but also to the Christmas preforming community. We were especially impressed with Santa True’s commitment to including the Mrs Claus in all aspects of the course. Thank you so much for opening our eyes and minds to possibilities!!! We look forward to attending any of your future workshops. – Victoria Schneider
We had an Awesome weekend with CPW and True was on point! The excitement in our Groups is at an all time high! – Nicholas Gillette
I give you the Ohio graduates from this past weekend’s Christmas Performers Workshop. We had an amazing time in Indianapolis learning from the phenomenal Storyteller (that’s with a capital “S” BTW) Robert Seutter, Santa True. I loved getting to know my Ohio Claus family members better. – Jacki Chamberlain
A weekend well spent at the Christmas Performers Workshop Advanced class in Denver. Santa True was very informative and entertaining and talked about some of the things that I’ve felt were lacking in my performance as Santa. Since I have a theater and broadcasting background, some of it I already knew, but was having trouble applying. I’m a basic introvert, I have trouble getting out of my comfort zone and into the Santa persona. The exercises and tips will help me do this and were well worth the price of admission. A very special thank you to IBRBS Denver for hosting and Andy and Tom for all that you guys did to make it a special weekend. Asparagus cookies forever. – David Jay Crispin
This weekend with Santa True and the Rocky Mountain Christmas Performers was very special. True showed us what is possible as a Christmas Performer. As a group, we were awesome, and Santa True was sensational. For those unable to attend, do what you can to get to the next session. – Stephen Lucero
What a weekend, I hope you all learned a lot about Christmas performing in the Christmas Performer Workshop, I found this class to be a lot different than any other class I have ever taken, the insight into the performance aspect was incredible, I hope you can take what you learned in the last two days and perfect your craft and become a better all round Santa or Mrs Claus. I enjoyed the interactive style and teaching from Santa True, he brings a different style and approach to teaching and supporting our skills. – James and Lori Dinwiddie, Mr. and Mrs OC Claus
This was a family session. I learned a lot of good stuff that was not included in my other schools. Thanks NESS/CTSS and Santa True for a great learning event. – Craig McKenna
I just returned from Santa True’s (Robert Seutter) workshop. It was a great learning experience. I recommend this workshop to all involved in the Santa community. I am looking forward to the 2019 Christmas season. Thank you so much Santa True. – Kathy Perrone
You will develop the tools and knowledge to make you a better Santa, great class, tons of info. – Bubba Parmenter
You won’t be disappointed. Santa True is on Fire with passion! Can’t wait for him to teach another class in Colorado! Enjoy every minute & apply it to you Christmas Performer character!!! They don’t realize, it’s the best class ever! Biggest, “bang for the buck” & a wealth of information! You won’t be disappointed! Robert Seutter puts his heart & soul into every minute. His great, enthusiasm is contagious! You’ll leave a much better holiday Performer! Thanks, Robert! We’re looking forward to our 2019 season! – Victoria Schneider
If you have an opportunity to attend – go! This is a wonderful workshop and unlike any other! Your mind will be working overtime and ideas flowing. This was an amazing workshop, filled with ideas, inspiration, and so much fun! You will add many new tools to work with! – Becki Stratton
I attended the April class at the Northern Lights Santa Claus Academy in Atlanta. It was a wonderful experience being in the class as you included fun activities while we were learning in the class. It seems, the times were way too short. I could’ve stayed a lot longer. Thank you so much for what you do and your sincerity toward teaching us how to be a better Santa and not the man in a red suit. Please stay safe in your travels. – Sincerely, John Snow (LOL, yes it is my real name) now… “John Snow knows something”
He was fantastic in Ct. Beyond prepared and planned for a two-day workshop with no hesitation during any presentation. We were delighted and highly impressed. – Bonnie Bristol
To say I’m thrilled to have gone through this workshop is an understatement. This workshop taught me what it means to be a Christmas performer and how to be the best performer I can be. It pushed me passed my comfort zone and showed me that I can do this if I put in the hard work. I’m so excited about the upcoming season. Thank you to OKLAHOMA IBRBS for holding this workshop and to Santa True for showing us how to be better at what we do!! – John Rolls
Santa True…thank you for all that you do and helping us here in Oklahoma be the best Christmas performers we can be…YOU ROCK! Taking your CPW now for the 2nd year has been so rewarding and filled us with some wonderful knowledge and love for what we do. Anyone who wants to be the best they can be need you and CPW in their life ….forever be humble! – Debbie Buffalo Hartsell
I attended Robert Seutter’s Fundamentals class in 2018 with my Santa Larry and don’t have room here to list all of the benefits! Not only did I get valuable insight into Santa’s world, there was great material for Mrs. Claus as well!! I rarely give glowing scores, so this 5-star rating is big! – Daneta Combs-Blair
I am so glad the Palm Tree Santas put on the Santa workshop by Santa True. I have been a Santa for 5 years and thought I would give this a shot but I was comfortable in my professional Santa role. I was wrong and Santa – True changed that. I do not think I was a bad Santa but the class proved to me there was a lot of room for improvement. After his class I hope to say and perform as a better Santa. He taught how to handle large crowds, gave me a better understanding on how to deliver “Ho Ho Ho” (I thought mine was good but it needed and got improved upon.) I learned a lot about storytelling and how to more effectively deliver stories. He gave me new skills and caused me to review and modify/improve skills I had in place. The actual session was two 8 hour sessions. I think I got my mony’s worth after the first session. The second day was gravy. If you have an opportunity to take his class(es) I strongly recommend it. You will not be sorry.
Christmas Performers Workshop is so much more than the Reindeer Macarena. We spent two days stretching physically, mentally, and above all creatively in collaboration with Santa True and my fellow Oklahoma Santas Group. What a charge! We wrote, we practiced and improvised with each other, we laughed, and we learned. There is no other class like this one, led by a master storytelling Santa with lessons for both the novice and experienced Clauses. If you must choose one class to take this year and you want the biggest bang for your buck, choose the CPW. You’ll get a coach for life, skills to refresh your gigs and oh, yeah, the reindeer macarena, too. But trust me, that’s just the beginning! – Jocelyn Whitney
We had a great time learning from Robert. He pushed us beyond our comfort zone and showed us how we could improve our Claus personas. We feel like we benefitted greatly, but the true beneficiaries will be the families that we visit this next year! Thanks Robert for the information and encouragement. We would highly recommend this training for any serious Christmas performer. – Greg Gilpin
Such a wonderful workshop. Truly a performers event. Instead of spending 2 days being TOLD how to or what to, we spent 2 days being SHOWN and then practicing the skills. A real WORKshop…and well worth the effort. One of the most valuable Santa events I’ve attended. – Bill Kenney
We had an awesome workshop! And some great stories were created and told. Thanks again! – Daneta C
Thank you for the information and Thanks again for your work at the Northern Lights work Shop in GA. I am new at this but with all that I got out of the two days of your class I will do everything I can to make you proud. Thanks again. – Santa Tim Keith
You definitely got New England Santa Society and the CT Santa Society Inspired! You hit many of the areas we all need to improve! Thanks again! – Nicholas Alan Gillette
I had a great time at the Christmas Performer Workshop this weekend with Santa True. There was a lot of material offered that isn’t offered in other workshops and schools. – Ward Bond
All of the Santa schools mentioned have a lot to offer. To really round out your performance chops, though, attending the Christmas Performer Workshops basic course must be on your list. The focus here is on the elements that take a performance to the next level. Backstory, storytelling and story-reading, improv…the tools you need to extend a performance from “90 seconds in the chair” to an hour or longer. I’ve attended the basic and advanced courses and it’s really levelled up my character. – Jim Beidle
This was the first workshop I had ever attended for a character role. I am training to be Mrs. Claus. Not knowing what to expect, I was surprised at all the Santas in the room. I actually felt like a little kid again seeing them all. As the workshop went on, I was amazed at all the work that goes into being a Santa. Then, I was impressed at the amount of information Santa True provided, his presentation skills, his voice, his ability to engage an audience, and to keep our attention. It truly was a great conference and I am blessed to be a part of such a warm and loving community. Although my group that attended the workshop is training for a specific non-profit, it was amazing to know all the possibilities we could apply to improve on the experience we provide. Santa True took the time to to sit with our group and provided valuable information that was priceless. I now look forward to developing my Mrs. Claus character and perfecting my craft. I will absolutely attend another workshop. – Barbara L.
Last weekend Santa’s Drill Team hosted the Christmas Performers workshop by Robert “Santa True” Seutter. This was an outstanding workshop, Santa True is a very talented, gifted, enthusiastic and entertaining instructor, do NOT miss a chance to attend one of his workshops. – From part of a review from Former President of IBRBS, Bob Elkin
After attending “Christmas Performer Workshops” by Robert S. this weekend, I have to say it was one of the BEST classes I ever attended. I had never heard of Robert until Branson 2016! He got a standing ovation when the 2-day workshop was over in MN. The workshop included ideas about using talents and experience of members within your state group or local surrounding theatrical and community ed for performing. He gave us more resources to polish our performance. We had new Santas and Mrs. Claus’s as well as 30-year experienced Santas. He captured and kept the attention of all. Every single person who did the workshop left with a wealth of knowledge to help them be a better Santa or Mrs. Claus personae. I for one am grateful that Robert S is willing to travel and share his knowledge. We eagerly look forward to his return to MN. – Randy
A special thanks to Robert Seutter for a wonderful Performer Workshop and the tools to be successful. – Wayne Wolczak
Again, I want to say what a fabulous weekend. The educational experience was great( again from what was taught I am back at being a novice, but look forward to the upcoming season to use all of the information that I was able to absorb. Thank You Santa True. Sitting in class for 8 hours and just waiting for the next piece of material kept us on the edge of our seats.) Thank You to the Indiana Santa Society for hosting and making us all feel at home. Kudos to you all. – Tom Osborne
He brought the special seasoning that other schools with performers have attempted to cover. Such a great great time. – Trish L. Schuler
I had quite a weekend in Indianapolis at a Christmas Preforming Workshop. Ohio was well represented with 8 Buckeye’s in attendance. Santa True did an exceptional job of not only our education, but keeping everyone on the edge of their seat waiting for what was coming next. It was an eye opener for things that I must improve on in my presentation. This is getting me excited for the upcoming Christmas Season. Thanks to the Indiana Santa Society for hosting and welcoming us all. – Tom Osborne
I would like to encourage your Santa’s, Mrs Claus and Elves to have Santa True come and enjoy his Christmas Performers Workshop, well worth the money and there is a wealth of knowledge you will get from him you won’t get at other Santa schools! – Stacey Weigart Foley
What a great weekend. Of course I feel like it wasn’t long enough. I had the pleasure of attending Santa True’s Christmas Performer Workshop. What can amazing class it was. It focuses on just the acting side of being Santa. For those who aren’t trained actors this would be an amazing first class to take. For those who are trained actors this is a great refresher and it’s directed at being Santa specially. It is also a great way to network and meet fellow Santas, Mrs. C’s, and elves. I am so geared up now for Santa day on May 18th and before I know it it’s Christmas in July. – Travis Smith
I attended Santa True’s CPW Workshop in IN May 4th & 5th. This Workshop spanned 2 days of instruction to enhance Santa’s Performance. It was filled with education much different from traditional Santa Schools. Lessons for stage presence, speaking, and tips on every aspect of portraying Santa were taught. The CPW Workshop was affordable, fun and so informative. I recommend Santa True’s CPW Workshop for anyone who wants to further develop Santa’s performance. – Jerry Allen
This fun little Reindeer Macarena bit was shared by Robert Seutter at the spring session of Northern Lights Santa Academy. This was my first opportunity to share it and it was a hoot! It makes a great little jig to do in any age crowd. We had fun doing this during the Suffolk, VA Dunkin’Donuts grand opening on May 18th. – Kenny Hydock
When this man comes to your area and teaches be ready to learn. He helped me with back story creation. – Rick Klemenz
I also am very proud of my certificate. I’ve attended several workshops and have over 10 years experience, but this event has given me the tools to take my performing to a whole new level. Many, many thanks to Santa True and Ross Tarr! – Jerry Simprich
I have really enjoyed the Classes of Santa True. Where most of the classes being held are about the “business” of Santa these classes are about bring a magical moment when doing a gig. I look forward to putting my knowledge to work in the real world of Santa. – Roy May
If you have never attended one of Santa True’s workshop I highly recommend it. You will gain knowledge and confidence in your performances! – Michael Keith Wubker Sr.
The best instructions that are not only for Santa but also for use in your personal life, sonce we all have room for improvement. Looking forward to another session this year. Thanks for what you do, True! – Michael Webster
I will say this about Mr. Robert Seutter, he is a standup help ya out kinda guy and I will never forget the crash course Santa 101/201/301 till 2 am! He was my lifeline when needed most. – Dean H.
…Your workshop presented to NORPAC last November was excellent. You can always teach an old dog new tricks and I know my game improved after your coaching. – Jerry Nebel, NorPac
TRUEly wonderful and helpful information, as usual! – Joe Pridgen
Agree, Robert Seutter is an excellent instructor… not every teacher gets a standing ovation at the end of their 2 day workshops!! … Your material is unique and generates new interest as well as return of past participants! We got a “whirlwind” of a lot of topics on your first visit and saw the professional knowledge you have as an instructor and how you captivate and keep classroom attention. Wishing you continued success!! – Randy and Debra Ann Gabrelcik
I know personally I’m a better Christmas performer because I attended CPW sessions and I know first hand a number of Santa’s who would agree. – Santa J.
CPW is the top in-person course for Santa. It is for those of you that want to be rebooked as performing Santa. Plus, we have had True to the Northwest for both intro course and adv course. It has paid off big for us!!! – Santa R.
Standing Ovation at the end of class, thanks folks!
